Notes from the seedy underbelly of a new runner.

Back on track...somewhat.

I did my first run in two weeks that was longer than 2 miles (6 miles to be exact). My knee was feeling better! I owe a lot of that to my doctor and advice from friends who know what they are talking about when it comes to injuries. I still do not have the means to post pictures but that should resolve itself over the weekend when I load the necessary drivers on to my computer.
I ran my usual route along Milwaukee street, the entire time I felt like I could have run all day! I was mindful of my knee injury though and stopped before I reinjured it. I felt unusually spry. That happens sometimes when I take a break from physical activity. I did not time mysef but it felt like the fasest 6 miles I have run thus far (I might also just be sooo happy to be running again that I'm mistaking joy for speed). Anyway, I have set a goal, I would like to attempt my first half marathon in May. I have a wonderful support system of friends, family, and random strangers that are kind enough to listen to me ramble on about the topic of running. Those same strangers fall victim to my overzealous encouragment, it's not socially acceptable to talk someone in to a physical activity if you have only just met them. Anywho, I'm excited, that's all there is to it really.

'till next time, be safe friends!
